The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results that were previously withheld for additional investigation. The newly released results are separate from those already made available earlier by the Board and form part of its ongoing review process aimed at protecting the integrity of the examination system.

According to JAMB, the decision followed continued investigations into cases that had been flagged over suspected examination malpractice. After reviewing the affected cases, the Board determined that some candidates had no established case against them and therefore approved the release of their results.
JAMB explained that not all withheld results receive the same outcome. While candidates cleared after review have now had their results released, some results have been cancelled outright where investigations confirmed examination misconduct and sufficient evidence of malpractice was established.
The Board also stated that investigations remain active for results connected to centres that attracted adverse reports or where suspicious activities were observed by JAMB’s live monitoring system during the examination process. These results will continue to remain unavailable until investigations are concluded. Where evidence confirms involvement in examination irregularities, the affected results will be cancelled in line with examination regulations.
Candidates who are yet to see their results have been advised not to panic but to verify their status using JAMB’s official result-checking channel. To check whether a result has been released, candidates should send UTMERESULT as a text message to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during UTME registration.
JAMB reiterated the importance of following official communication channels and avoiding unofficial claims or third-party platforms regarding result status, as the Board continues its efforts to maintain transparency and credibility in the conduct of the 2026 UTME.
