The institution marked its 22nd graduation ceremony with the conferment of degrees on eight PhD graduates, 69 master’s graduates and 495 bachelor’s graduates.

Of the bachelor’s graduates, 405 completed campus based programmes, while another 90 graduated through the university’s Open University programmes.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the emergence of eight new doctoral scholars, taking the institution’s cumulative number of PhD graduates to more than 100. The university has now produced doctoral graduates on 14 different occasions.

President of the Accra Institute of Technology, Prof. Clement K. Dzidonu, described the achievement as an important milestone for the relatively young institution.

He noted that the university’s doctoral programme was already producing graduates who were making significant contributions to academia, with more than half of AIT’s PhD graduates attaining professorial rank within three years of graduation.

The ceremony therefore offered more than a celebration of academic certificates. It highlighted the institution’s expanding role in developing highly skilled professionals and researchers for Ghana and beyond.

With hundreds of students moving into professional and academic careers, the latest graduation has further strengthened AIT’s contribution to human capital development and higher education in the region.
