Capital Science Academy, Kado, Abuja, recorded a huge success in its 2024 edition of the Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) fair held recently.
In his welcome address to commence at the event, the Principal/CEO of Capital Science Academy, Bunuyaminu Bello Yero, cited several current scientific trends with the tendency to determine the future of the world and charged the students to embrace them so as not to be left behind.
Yero commended the invited schools for finding it worthy to attend and compete in the events of the fair.
This year’s STEAM fair featured quiz competitions in maths, physics, chemistry and biology. It also featured On-the-Spot Task where the contestants were required to dissect a chicken to remove specified inner organs. Also, there was a general project display where some products as well as electrical gadgets locally produced and fabricated by the students of the various schools were displayed.
At the end of the event, Nigerian Tulip International College took the star prize in quiz with Capital Science Academy clinching the top spot in On-the-Spot Task and Projects Display.
In his vote of thanks, the VP Admin, Alawusa Muniru, congratulated the winners and assured the parents that CSA as a science school would continue to initiate and organise programmes that would expose their students to practical science and innovation to adequately prepare them for the contemporary world of science and technology. A total of six schools around Abuja attended the event.
