Their achievement has sparked conversations online, not just because of the high scores, but because of how the students say they got there; through steady effort, structured study habits, and a strong sense of discipline over time.
One of the standout performers, Adeoti Ayobami Daniel, who scored 359, said his breakthrough came after rethinking how he studied entirely. He explained that identifying his weak areas during the mock exam pushed him to adjust his approach.
“I focused more on English and improved from 57 in the mock to 75 in the main examination. I also improved in Mathematics from 79 to 98, Chemistry from 82 to 90, and Physics from 90 to 96,” he said.
Instead of passive reading, he shifted to active practice—solving questions immediately after studying and relying heavily on CBT practice apps.
For Olaniyi Oluwajoba, who scored 349, the key was not long hours but effective strategy.
“What made the difference was discipline, consistency, and the right study strategy,” he stated.
He added that constant practice on CBT platforms and repeated revision of tough topics helped him build speed and accuracy.
Another top scorer, Adabonyan Ayokunle Oluwasogo (344), described a highly structured preparation routine. His learning included online tutorials, private lessons, and consistent self-testing.
“Chemistry alone took me three months to finish all 225 episodes, while Physics took me two weeks,” he explained.
He also credited weekly timed mock exams for helping him stay calm and improve his pace under pressure.
Osunro Ifeoluwa, who scored 343, pointed to mindset as a major factor.
“Fear and self-doubt can make even a genius feel dumb. I stayed positive and maximized my daytime because I don’t work well at night,” he said.
Others also shared lessons from their journey. Omotosho Deborah Ayomikun (324) said she refused to become complacent after her mock exams.
“Even after the mock examination, I refused to settle for average. I kept pushing myself,” she said.
Odunowo Daniel, who scored 320, said understanding the exam pattern made a difference for him.
“I realized there was a pattern to the examination. All that was needed was consistency and determination,” he explained.
David Oyebode (314) highlighted focus as his biggest advantage.
“I focused on understanding what I read and reviewing past questions consistently,” he said.
Olaonipekun Zion Olayiwola, who scored 312, summed up his approach simply:
“I don’t pass exams by cramming. I pass by reading with a system,” he stated.
Education experts note that these performances reinforce a growing truth about academic success: intelligence alone is not enough. Consistency, planning, and the right study methods often make the real difference.
For many teenagers preparing for exams, these stories offer a simple takeaway; small, disciplined efforts every day can eventually lead to exceptional results.
