Indiscipline among students has become a major concern in many schools today. Discipline is the ability to obey rules and behave in a proper manner. Therefore, when students refuse to follow rules or behave properly, such behaviour is called indiscipline. Many teachers, parents, and school authorities have complained about the increasing rate of indiscipline in contemporary times.

There are various forms of indiscipline commonly found among students today. Some students come late to school regularly, some skip classes deliberately, and others refuse to do their assignments. Examination malpractice has also become common in schools. In addition, fighting, bullying, stealing, disrespect to teachers, and the use of abusive language are all examples of indiscipline.

Several factors are responsible for these behaviours. One major cause is poor parental upbringing, where some parents fail to train or monitor their children properly. Another important cause is bad peer influence, as students often imitate the behaviour of their friends.

In conclusion, indiscipline among students is a serious problem that must not be ignored. With proper guidance, strict rules, and good moral training, students can become disciplined individuals who will contribute positively to society.
