Listening to our parents is very important. It helps guide our behaviour, teaches us values, and brings blessings into our lives. Parents are the foundation of our lives. They brought us into this world, nurtured us, fed us, and cared for us as we grew. This alone is a reason to obey and respect them.

Parents also have more experience and knowledge about life. They have faced challenges that we have yet to encounter. Their advice can help us avoid mistakes, prepare for the future, and guide us toward success. Listening to them teaches patience, respect, and responsibility.

Above all, parents love us sincerely. They sacrifice time, energy, and comfort to give us the best. Listening to them is a way to appreciate that love and honour their efforts.

Obeying parents also brings blessings. Their prayers and guidance can make our lives easier and full of baraka. Islam commands us to be kind and respectful to our parents, even when correcting them gently if needed (Surah Al-Isra 17:23; Surah Luqman 31:14).

In conclusion, honouring and listening to parents is not just a duty; it is a path to peace, success, and blessings in this life and the hereafter.
