Don’t waste food: A simple change for a better future

Technology can be defined as a faster and easier way of sharing information with people around the world.

The Islamic Deen is the complete way of worshipping Allah and living according to Islamic teachings. Technology can help me improve my Deen in many ways. For example, Islamic apps allow me to listen to Quran recitations, which help me memorise the Holy Quran. They also teach important values such as honesty, faithfulness, fairness, and kindness towards others.

Technology also enables more people to learn about Islam quickly and easily. Educational cartoons and animations can attract the attention of children and even adults. Children can listen to Islamic songs, lectures, and Quran recitations on their phones or Bluetooth speakers while doing household chores.

There are also apps that help people learn the Arabic language and understand how to perform Wudu (ablution), Salah, and other acts of worship correctly. Technology makes the stories of the Prophets, angels, and the pillars of Islam more interesting and easier for children to understand.

Learning through technology is fun and engaging. Children and adults can attend online Islamic classes from the comfort of their homes. Television and radio programmes also help explain Islamic teachings and practices in simple ways.

Technology encourages children to take part in educational quizzes and learn the difference between what is halal (permissible) and haram (forbidden) in Islam.

In conclusion, when used wisely, technology can help us strengthen our faith, increase our knowledge, and become better Muslims. I believe it is a valuable tool for improving our Deen.

My name is Nimatallah Ajala, and I am a Grade 5 pupil. I would like to talk about how technology can help improve my Deen. This means using modern technology to strengthen my Islamic knowledge by learning Arabic, studying Hadith, following the example of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and reading the Holy Quran every day.

Today, I can download many useful Islamic apps that contain duas, Hadith, Quran recitations, prayer times, Adhan reminders, and Qibla directions. There are also many online Islamic learning platforms that I can easily access through my phone or tablet.

Before technology became common, Muslims relied mainly on printed Islamic books. One well-known book is The Fortress of the Muslim, compiled by Sa’id Ali Wahf Al-Qahtani. It contains authentic supplications from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah and remains an important guide for Muslims today.

Social media can also be used to improve our Islamic knowledge if we use it wisely. Sadly, many people spend too much time watching videos or posting pictures that do not benefit them. Instead, we should use technology to learn more about Islam and become better Muslims.

Islam teaches children to develop the habit of performing their daily prayers from a young age. Instead of spending all my time playing games or watching videos, I can use my tablet or phone to learn, practise, and strengthen my Islamic knowledge.

By doing this, I become a better Muslim who reads the Quran regularly, recites daily duas, and performs the five daily prayers.

In conclusion, technology should be used to teach valuable lessons and help us grow in our faith. We should spend our time on things that benefit our lives and bring us closer to Allah, rather than on activities that do not add value to our Deen.
