The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Jerry Adams, has rewarded four first-class graduates of the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, with cash gifts for their outstanding academic performance.

Adams announced the reward as part of his pledge to recognise academic excellence among young Nigerians, according to a statement issued by his media aide, Zakari Jamilu.
The beneficiaries are members of the university’s 2026 graduating set from the Faculty of Law.
Two of the graduates, Shimanh Daniel from Kauru Local Government Area and Obadiah Rosemary from Sanga Local Government Area, both indigenes of Kaduna State, received ₦1 million each.
The other two beneficiaries were from outside Kaduna State. Farida Mu’azu from Zamfara State, who emerged as the overall best graduating student, received ₦500,000, while Ebere Franklin from Imo State received ₦300,000.
Adams said the gesture was made on behalf of himself and education/">Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.
He said the decision to reward graduates irrespective of their state of origin was based on the belief that academic excellence should not be limited by geographical, ethnic or religious differences.
According to him, the initiative was intended to promote human capital development and encourage young Nigerians to pursue academic excellence, discipline and hard work.
He added that recognising outstanding students from different parts of the country demonstrated the importance of supporting merit and investing in young people.
