The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has opened a free change-of-course application portal for candidates seeking admission to the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university said the opportunity is available to candidates who participated in its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise but did not meet the required cut-off mark for their preferred programmes.
According to a notice signed by the university’s Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs V. Abosede Wickliffe, limited vacancies are available in 32 programmes across five faculties.
The affected faculties are Arts, Education, Life Sciences, Physical and Earth Sciences, and Social Sciences.

UNILAG said programmes not included on the list are already fully subscribed.
Who can apply?
Candidates must have participated in the university’s 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise and must have obtained a minimum Post-UTME score of 12 to be eligible for the supplementary change-of-course exercise.
Applicants are also required to confirm that they meet the prescribed JAMB and O-level requirements for their intended programmes before submitting their applications.
How to apply
Eligible candidates are required to visit the UNILAG change of programme portal and log in with their UTME registration number.
They can then select their preferred programme, confirm their eligibility and complete the application process.
The university stated that the application is free of charge and warned candidates to carefully review their details before submitting their forms.
UNILAG also warned that submitting more than one application will lead to disqualification. It further clarified that submitting an application does not guarantee admission, as offers will depend on available spaces and the university’s approved admission criteria.
Candidates who are eventually offered admission through the exercise will be required to process a corresponding Change of Course with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) so that their admission letters reflect their approved programmes.
The application portal will close on Friday, September 25, 2026.
