The Shamadean Imole Charity Foundation has partnered with the Lagos State Government and other stakeholders to organise the sixth edition of its Inter-Public Schools Championship, an initiative aimed at promoting talent development and healthy competition among students.
The championship is designed to provide pupils from public schools with opportunities to showcase their abilities, build confidence and develop important skills through competitive activities.
The partnership brings together the non-governmental organisation, government representatives and other stakeholders in an effort to strengthen support for public school students and create platforms where young talents can be identified and nurtured.
The sixth edition is expected to bring together participating schools in a competitive environment while encouraging teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and academic development among the students.
The organisers said the initiative reflects their commitment to supporting children and young people, particularly those in public schools, by creating opportunities for them to discover and develop their talents.
The collaboration with Lagos and other partners also demonstrates the importance of partnerships between government, civil society organisations and communities in providing meaningful opportunities for young Nigerians.
The championship is expected to attract participation from several public schools and further promote the development of students beyond the classroom.
