A 400 level Chemistry student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Oluwatobi Daniel, has received a major surprise after emerging as the winner of a brand new car at the MTN Live It 100 On Campus Tour.
Daniel emerged as the grand prize winner during the three day campus activation held at ABU between August 26 and August 28, 2026.
The event combined entertainment, digital experiences, entrepreneurship activities and student engagement, giving students the opportunity to participate in various competitions and win prizes.
The ABU event was the third stop on MTN’s seven campus tour of Nigerian tertiary institutions, following earlier activations at Delta State University and Ekiti State University.
Daniel described his victory as a dream, saying he had not expected to emerge as the winner.
Several other ABU students also received prizes during the event. Iyiola Oyeleke, a 100 level Mass Communication student, won a laptop, while Victoria Adeleke of the Department of English and Literature Studies received a refrigerator.
Edeh Godswill Ogbada and Moses John also won prizes in their respective categories.
According to MTN’s Senior Manager for Segment Marketing, Temilolu Salako, the initiative was designed to encourage young Nigerians to pursue their ambitions with confidence and commitment.
The programme also featured digital games, photography experiences, product demonstrations, device displays and an SME showcase.
For Daniel, however, the event produced an unforgettable outcome. What began as a campus engagement activity ended with the Chemistry student driving away as the third major car winner on MTN’s nationwide campus tour.
