At Sunrise,
She is the Eagle soaring aloft.
At dusk, she sees.
Her body trampled upon
And ground into pieces
By her own feet
Her heart bleeds.
As her breath hitches.
She lies down, trying to decipher.
The vision is so real.
She is learning Interception.
Of what she’s seeing
In a fight to gain her soul back.
This is my country, Nigeria.
Dreaming in slumber
While her children are busy
Invoking dream-crushing spell
Nigeria, a mother of 36 children
A grandmother of 774 grandchildren.
