The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released more results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), including those of candidates who wrote the exam on Monday, April 20.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, shared the update on Tuesday via his X (formerly Twitter) page, saying candidates can check their results using the usual method.
To check results, candidates are to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
This latest release adds to earlier batches already made available by the board.
JAMB had earlier announced that 1,264,940 results for candidates who wrote the exam on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, had been released.
Before that, 632,752 results for candidates who sat the exam on Thursday, April 16, were also made available.
So far, a total of 1,897,692 results have been released from the first few days of the nationwide examination.
However, the process has not been entirely smooth.
Some candidates who wrote the exam on April 17 complained about difficulties checking their results, saying they tried several times without success.
The delay led to frustration, especially among those who stayed up late expecting their scores.
Reacting to this, Benjamin apologised to affected candidates for the delay in releasing the results.
“We sincerely apologise for the delay in releasing the results for Friday, April 17,” he said.
He explained that the delay was due to official engagements involving JAMB’s leadership but assured candidates that the results would be released as soon as possible.
He also thanked candidates for their patience and understanding.
The 2026 UTME, which started on April 16, is expected to end on April 23, with over two million candidates sitting the examination across computer-based test centres nationwide.
