Social media has changed the way we interact and see the world. It is like a double-edged sword. It has both the good and bad sides. Social media helps teenagers connect with others, share their thoughts and ideas and stay updated on what’s happening around them. However, paying too much attention to social media can be bad for the mental and emotional health as it gives room for cyber bullying and online harassment. The pressure to look perfect online makes them feel anxious, depressed, and unsure of themselves.
To deal with these challenges, teenagers need to find the balance; they should set limits on their social media use by engaging in activities off-line and be mindful of what they share online. With guidance and the right support, teenagers can use social media in a way that is positive and healthy and that helps them grow and develop as individuals.
