JAMB announced the restoration on Monday, September 28, 2026, saying CAPS was now fully operational. The board urged institutions to recover the time lost during the disruption and work within the admission deadlines agreed at the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions.
Under the approved timetable, public universities are expected to conclude their admission exercises by October 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30. Other tertiary institutions are expected to complete their admissions by December 31, 2026.
