11 First Class Graduates Receive N500,000 Each

Eleven first-class graduates in Lagos State have received N500,000 each in recognition of their academic achievements.

The awardees, who are affiliated with the Baptist Student Fellowship in career-in-estate-management/">Lagos State, were honoured during the fellowship’s 40th anniversary convention.

The presentation brought together students and graduates for an event that combined academic recognition with worship, Bible teaching, drama performances and student development workshops.

Each of the 11 graduates received N500,000, bringing the total value of the awards to N5.5 million.

The initiative provided the fellowship with an opportunity to celebrate students who had demonstrated exceptional academic commitment while encouraging younger members to pursue excellence.

Addressing the awardees, the national coordinator of the student ministry, Adishola Adeyemi, challenged them to see their academic success as the beginning of another responsibility rather than the end of their journey.

He encouraged the graduates to make responsible use of the opportunities their academic records could create and to maintain the discipline that helped them achieve first-class honours.

The recognition comes at a time when many Nigerian graduates face the difficult transition from university life into professional careers.

For the recipients, the financial reward provides immediate assistance while also serving as recognition of years of study, examinations, assignments and personal sacrifice.
