The Board disclosed that the mop-up examination is scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 13, 2026, and advised candidates to print their slips early to avoid last-minute challenges.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.

According to the Board, the examination notification slip contains critical information required by candidates, including their examination centre, date, time, and other instructions necessary for a smooth examination process.

“The notification slip contains vital information, including the candidate’s examination centre, date, time, and other important instructions necessary for a seamless examination exercise,” the statement said.

JAMB explained that the mop-up examination was organised specifically for candidates who were unable to participate in the main UTME due to technical issues, as well as those who experienced biometric verification challenges during the earlier examination.

The Board noted that affected candidates can now visit its official portal to access and print their examination slips.

“Eligible candidates are advised to visit the Board’s website and click on ‘Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip’ to access and print their slips,” the statement added.

Candidates were also encouraged to familiarise themselves with the location of their examination centres before the examination date to prevent delays and logistical difficulties on the day of the test.

JAMB further emphasized that the mop-up examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to sit for the 2026 UTME.

The Board stated that no additional examination will be conducted after the mop-up exercise, making it crucial for all eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity.

“It is important that candidates print their slips well ahead of time and make adequate preparations for the examination, as this mop-up exercise serves as the final chance for affected candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME,” the Board noted.

The examination body therefore urged candidates to remain vigilant, follow all examination guidelines, and rely only on information released through official JAMB communication channels.

The 2026 Mop-Up UTME is expected to provide a fresh opportunity for thousands of candidates affected by technical and biometric challenges during the main examination, ensuring that no eligible candidate is unfairly denied the opportunity to compete for admission into tertiary institutions across the country.
