Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal dominated UEFA’s 2025/26 Champions League Team of the Season, with eight players from the two clubs earning places in the prestigious lineup following impressive campaigns in Europe’s elite club competition.

PSG defenders Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes were included in the team, alongside midfield maestro Vitinha and attacking duo Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele.

Arsenal’s representatives were midfielder Declan Rice, defender Gabriel Magalhães, and goalkeeper David Raya, all of whom played pivotal roles in the club’s run to the latter stages of the competition.

Losing semi-finalists Bayern Munich secured two places in the elite XI through Harry Kane and Michael Olise, while Atletico Madrid had one representative in Marcos Llorente.

According to UEFA, five players made the Team of the Season for the first time, highlighting the emergence of a new generation of Champions League stars. Meanwhile, several established performers earned repeat selections, including Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Dembele, Rice, and Kane, who have all previously featured in the prestigious lineup.

Kvaratskhelia Named Champions League Player of the Season

In addition to earning a place in the Team of the Season, PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season following a remarkable individual campaign.

The Georgian international succeeds teammate Ousmane Dembele, who claimed the award last season.

Kvaratskhelia was instrumental in PSG’s successful title defence, finishing the campaign with 10 goals and six assists. His performances proved decisive throughout the competition, including in the final, where he won the penalty that helped PSG draw level before eventually defeating Arsenal in a dramatic shootout.

His 16 direct goal involvements established a new club record, making him the first PSG player to register such a tally in a single Champions League season.

The 25-year-old also produced an extraordinary impact during the knockout rounds, contributing to 10 goals as PSG navigated a challenging path to the final.

UEFA statistics further revealed that Kvaratskhelia became the first player in Champions League history to record a goal contribution in seven consecutive knockout-stage matches within a single campaign.

His achievements place him in elite company. The winger joins football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the only players to record at least 10 goals and five assists in a single Champions League season.
