Student behaviour varies widely and it reflects how students engage in class and interact with peers and teachers. Here are common behaviours among students:

Positive Behaviour: Positive behaviour includes active participation in class, asking questions, and contributing to discussions. Students showing this behaviour collaborate well in group projects, practice respectful communication, and demonstrate self-discipline by completing assignments on time and managing distractions.

Negative Behaviour: Negative behaviour includes disruptive talking, inattentiveness, defiance toward authority, and neglecting responsibilities. Examples include interrupting others, daydreaming, ignoring instructions, showing disrespect, and failing to turn in assignments.

Proactive Behaviour: Proactive students seek help when needed, set personal goals, and track their academic progress. They also assist peers, participate in extracurricular activities, and volunteer for school events, taking initiative in their learning.

Avoidant Behaviour: Students with avoidant behaviour often procrastinate, withdraw from group activities, and avoid tasks they find challenging. They may isolate themselves from classmates and give excuses for incomplete work.

Aggressive Behaviour: Aggressive behaviour includes bullying, verbal outbursts, physical altercations, threats, and even vandalism. These students may use intimidation to influence others or damage school property.

Understanding these behaviours help educators develop strategies to create a positive learning environment. Factors like classroom management, peer interactions, and individual motivations significantly impact student behaviour. Positive behaviours enhance productivity, while negative behaviours can hinder learning.

Effective strategies include setting clear expectations, reinforcing positive behaviours, fostering a supportive community, and addressing underlying issues such as mental health. A proactive approach helps create a more conducive learning environment for all students.
