Principal, Bright Sun College, in his welcome address congratulated the graduating students and their parents for making themselves and the school proud.
He advised the graduating students to have a strong zeal and hunger for success and nothing would be able to stop them from achieving their goals.
“As you move a step higher in life, you must understand that it is extraordinary efforts that distinguish you and put you on a platform of honour.
“One of the strengths of high performers is the diligence with which they pursue their goals and life aspirations. You must at this point understand that the cost of choosing to be great and successful in your academic journey is focusing more on your course of study, avoiding bad influence and evil associations, which has become rampant in society,” he said.
The outgoing head boy, Temiade Oni, on behalf of the valedictorians expressed gratitude for the teaching and non-teaching staff of Bright Sun College who ensured a smooth passage through the school.
He said: “I appreciate all who have in one way or the other contributed to the modest success we recorded in the course of our passage through Bright Sun College, starting with our parents who spared no cost on our education.”
