English National League side Boreham Wood have turned down a £1 million (approximately ₦1.8 billion) offer from Swedish top-flight club Djurgårdens IF for Nigerian-eligible forward Abdul Abdulmalik, as interest in the highly rated striker continues to grow.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions. His impressive performances played a crucial role in Boreham Wood’s successful season and earned him the National League Young Player of the Season award.

Djurgårdens reportedly identified Abdulmalik as one of their priority transfer targets and initially tabled a £750,000 bid before increasing the offer to £1 million in an attempt to secure his services. However, Boreham Wood rejected both proposals, with the club believed to value the striker significantly higher than the offers received.
The Swedish side is expected to return with an improved bid before the transfer window closes, as it remains determined to sign the Nigerian-born attacker.
A move to Sweden’s top division would mark another important step in Abdulmalik’s career, offering him the opportunity to compete at a higher level of European football and further strengthen his profile.
