Bilesanmi, who graduated in the 2025/2026 academic session, also received the university scholar award in each of her four years of study, highlighting her consistent academic performance.
Beyond her academic achievement, she secured multiple scholarships during her undergraduate programme, including the Jim Ovia Scholarship, which she won twice. She also received support from the BBB Foundation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) empowerment initiative through MOORE Bishop and Rooks, as well as a tuition waiver from Springboard Associates for her Accounting Technician Scheme studies.
Bilesanmi combined her academic work with leadership responsibilities in several student organisations. She served as Deputy Director for Research and Writing at the Economics Students Research Association, Vice-President of the Faculty Fellowship for Social Sciences, Academic Excellence Chair at the Mind Thrive Club, and Business Analyst at the university’s Investment Society.
She also distinguished herself in academic and professional competitions. She was a national finalist in the CFA Institute Equity Research Challenge and won the Africa’s Future Economic Leaders AfCFTA Research and Advocacy Inter-University Challenge. In September 2024, she placed third nationally in the ICAN Accounting Technicians Scheme Level Two examinations.
Her professional development included completing job simulation programmes with organisations such as KPMG, EY, Bank of America, Mastercard and Fidelity International. She has also attained Associate Accounting Technician status and is working towards full chartered accountant qualification.
Bilesanmi shared her achievements in an October 2026 LinkedIn post, expressing excitement about the opportunities her university experience could create as she moves into the next stage of her career.
Her accomplishment demonstrates how academic excellence can be combined with leadership, scholarship opportunities, competition experience, and professional development to prepare graduates for life beyond university.
