The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, bringing an end to weeks of anticipation among thousands of candidates across Nigeria.

The examination body announced that candidates can now access their results through its official online result-checking platform using their examination number, examination year, and result checker PIN.
The release of the results marks the completion of one of the country’s largest secondary school examinations and paves the way for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) admission process.
Candidates who sat for the examination have been advised to verify their results online and print their result slips where necessary for admission and other official purposes. WAEC also reminded candidates to use only its approved result-checking channels to avoid falling victim to fraudulent websites or scams.
The WASSCE remains one of the key qualifications required for admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria and other English-speaking West African countries. The examination assesses students across core and elective subjects and serves as a major benchmark for secondary school graduation.
With the results now available, candidates are expected to begin uploading their O’Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) where required, as institutions continue their admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
