The walking paper

By Michael Lessor

When a boy was at an arts and crafts club, and they were busy making pictures using small colourful paper bits, the science club teacher came into the room and announced that they would be doing an assignment to make a walking mechanic dog.

The boy decided to multitask and started working on the walking dog. But then the dog wasn’t there because he was just using the construction paper for the science assignment. The paper started walking to the cafeteria and then to the school’s playground. The boy tried to catch it, but before he could leave to chase the walking paper, the art teacher said, “Sit down!”

The boy made an excuse that he needed to use the restroom. The teacher let him go to the restroom. But he suddenly went downstairs to see the paper climbing the school gate at the back of the school building. He ran there to the school gate until the school guard abruptly stopped him and said, “Where are you going? You should be in class.”

The boy said, “I’m chasing the running sheet of paper.” worriedly.

The guard took that as a joke, and stopped the boy to escape.

Six minutes passed… and the boy was still trying to escape. The art teacher left the building to see where the boy was using the restroom, since it has been three minutes.

Meanwhile, the paper was still walking through estates, and through local markets and banks.

The boy saw that the juniors in Year 1 were having an event where they could play football, jumping rope, and trampolines. So, he decided to wear a junior Year 1 uniform and pretend he was five, and get on the trampolines. He stacked them onto one another.

Then he jumped over the school gate and crashed into the roof of the school security guard room.

Then he saw a tracker, which he used to find the paper. But the paper landed on him, covering the boy’s sight.

He decided to go back into the arts and crafts club room; so he went into the building of a stranger’s house!

The owner called the security and the boy was almost caught. But he woke up and realized it was a dream.

He was in the arts and crafts room.
