The management of Bright Sun College, Lagos has celebrated its students that sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for performing excellently well.
The management said it has been a tradition in the college for the successive graduating students to break the records set by their predecessors.
“The 2023 graduating students performed wonderfully well to break the record set by their seniors.
“Just a year later this record was broken by the extraordinary remarkable performance of the 2024 set, which left everyone marveling at the achievement of the school,” it said.
It said the 2025 set has yet another remarkable feat of 100% success in the 2025 University and Tertiary Matriculation Exam, adding that more than 90 per cent of the students performed excellently in this year’s UTME.
“More than 52.1% of the students scored 300 and above. Another 7% scored between 280 and 299, 19% scored between 250 and 279, and 23% scored between 200 and 249.This continuous wonderful result is attributed to the topnotch teaching professionals working under a real focused and visionary management team in the school,” it said.
While noting that despite the general poor performance, none of the students scored below 200, the school named the top scorers to include Kaamila Kareem, 371, Anuoluwa Taiwo, 368,Ikenna Enwere, 365, Tolulope James 359 and luwaseyi Kayode,351.
These were followed by Osose Jude-Isibo,343, Temilorun Adekunle-Bello, 337, Fareedah Arasi, 336, FaridahAmao-Tope 335, Shehu Abdulrahman,335, Kehinde Lasisi,323, Salawu Azimah 320, Malek Akano,319, Taiwo Lasisi, 318, Abdullateef Olayemi,318, Princess Lanre-Akinremi 317, Asiyah Olajide, 317, AbdulsamadJubril-Wunti 315, Favour Umeh, 312, Layla Abiodun, 309, Aliyah Sadik, 307, Kelechi Iwuoma,307 Olachi Okonkwo 302 and Chika Abaratu, 302.
