A major boost for children’s education and development was recorded in Kaduna recently with the official launch of Discovery House, a children’s museum and active learning centre located at the NNDC Mall.
The launch, which coincided with the 2025 International Museum Day, brought together families, educators, government officials, and potential sponsors.
Among the special guests was Hafsat Aminu Ashiru, Private Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, who attended in her official capacity to show government support for educational innovation.
In her remarks, she commended the proprietors for investing in what she called “a world of wonder, a temple of curiosity, and a sanctuary of learning,” describing it as a powerful complement to the state’s goals in education, innovation, and human capital development.
Aminu noted that Discovery House goes beyond traditional learning by offering interactive exhibitions and hands-on experiences that help children explore, think critically, and grow.
“Museums like this are not just spaces for the past—they are catalysts for the future,” she said.
She said Kaduna State Government, remains committed to supporting private initiatives that enhance educational outcomes and build a stronger future for the state’s youth.
The event however, highlighted a growing synergy between the public and private sectors in delivering quality education.
