JAMB Offers Free UTME Forms to Persons With Disabilities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it will give free UTME forms to candidates living with disabilities.

This was announced in Abuja by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.

JAMB said registration for the UTME started on January 26 and will end on February 28.

So far, the board has made over N2.2 billion from the sale of UTME e-Pins.

The free forms will be handled by JAMB’s Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG). This group helps candidates with disabilities who want to sit for the 2026/2027 UTME, just like it did in past years.

JAMB explained that the free forms are meant to give everyone a fair chance to go to school and achieve their dreams.

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, shared this message during a meeting with important officials at JAMB’s headquarters in Abuja.

He said the board cares about the welfare of people living with disabilities and will continue to support them.

According to him, the free forms are for candidates with conditions such as Down Syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), among others.

Prof. Oloyede said candidates who want the free form must have at least five credit passes in their O’Level results, from not more than two sittings.

He also added that audio books will be provided for candidates who cannot see well.

The audio books are digital and can be listened to on phones and other devices using formats like MP3.

JAMB says this step will help all students, no matter their challenges, get equal access to education
