owadays, youths have many friends both the bad ones and the good ones.
Peer group can be defined as a group of people of approximately the same age, status, and interests. A peer group influences an individual’s attitude and character. For example, you can start behaving like the people you make friends with. There is an adage which says; “show me your friend and I will tell you who you are.”
More so, peer groups can influence youths into actions like taking drugs, getting into violence, and it can even affect youths’ academic performance. It could either lead you to bad things or good. It depends on your decision. Some students joined cultism because they were influenced by their peers.
Moreover, having good friends and feeling connected to a good group give teenagers a sense of belonging and value but bad peers influence individuals in bad ways.
In conclusion, you should be careful in choosing your friends; don’t be distracted from your goals and vision. There is an adage which says, “Always remember the son of who you are.”
