Every human being wants success in life. Success is peace of mind resulting from self-satisfaction in knowing that you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.
A lot of us do not know that today impacts our tomorrow’s success. This lack of knowledge is due to the following reasons:
* We believe that success is impossible, so we criticise it.
* We believe that success is mystical, so we search for it.
* We believe that success comes from luck, so we hope for it.
* We believe that success comes from opportunities, so we wait for it, but most of us don’t know that when an opportunity comes, it’s too late to prepare.
* We believe that success comes from leverage, so we power up for it.
* We believe that success comes from connections, so we network it.
* We believe that success is an event, so we schedule it, but most of us don’t know that real sustainable change doesn’t happen in a moment; it is a process.
As a person you can create success in your life by focusing on today. It may sound boring, but today is the only time you have. It is late for yesterday. Obviously, yesterday ended last night and you can’t depend on tomorrow. That is why today matters.
It will interest you to know that the most successful people in life are the ones who settle their critical issues early and manage them daily. The only difference between a successful person and an unsuccessful person is that the successful person worked towards his success early while the unsuccessful person was playing around or sleeping.
Most times, it’s not that the unsuccessful person didn’t work towards success, the difference is that he worked too late and at a slow pace with less faith.
The secret of your success is determined by your daily agenda. You will never change your life until you change something daily. The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his time when it comes.
I believe there are two ingredients necessary for making everyday a master piece: decision and discipline. They are like two sides of the same coin. You can call them ‘goal setting;’ and they can’t be separated because one is worthless without the other. For example, good decision without daily discipline results in a plan without a pay off; daily discipline without good decision results in regimentation without reward; good decision plus daily discipline results in master piece potential; good decision today will give you a better tomorrow.
Nobody says that good decisions are simple to make, but they are necessary for success. This is why you should not make decisions because they are easy or popular. Instead, make decisions that will help you build a better life.
