Celebrating Children’s Day and happy wishes to all

Children’s Day is a global celebration of childhood, recognising children’s rights and well-being. Its roots can be traced back to early 20th-century child welfare movements.

The concept of Children’s Day emerged during the 1925 World Conference on Child Welfare. The United Nations later established Universal Children’s Day in 1954, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. This day is observed on November 20th.

Many countries have their own Children’s Day celebrations. In India, it falls on November 14th, the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, the nation’s first Prime Minister, who championed children’s education.

As a student, I look forward to Children’s Day because it’s a fun-filled break from our usual school routine. There are always special activities planned, like games, competitions, and cultural performances. It’s a chance to showcase our talents and creativity.

But Children’s Day is more than just fun and games. It’s also a reminder of our rights and responsibilities. We have the right to education, healthcare, and a safe environment to grow up in. We also have the responsibility to study hard, respect our elders, and make the world a better place.

It’s a day to celebrate the joy and innocence of childhood, while also acknowledging the importance of building a brighter future for all children.

On this Children’s Day, we extend warm wishes to all our present and past students around the globe! May your day be filled with fun, laughter, and happy memories.
