The Principal of Vanguard Gate High School has urged students of the school to embrace love among one another in 2023.
He made this call while delivering his remarks at the carol festival held within the school premises.
“As children of God, you ought to embrace love in your dealings with your classmates and friends, even with your teachers. You need to be kind, selfless, and genuine in all your activities. Be ambassadors for Christ within and outside the school premises,” he said.
He pleaded with students to take the New Year as an opportunity to preach and practice love so that these good qualities will live with them for a long time.
He further urged students to strive to excel in their academics to keep the name of the school flying high among other schools in Lagos, while encouraging them to take their free time to learn a skill and engage in extracurricular activities.
“Engage in activities that will be useful in your future. Do not waste away your time and do not keep bad company,” he said.
