The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has launched a groundbreaking initiative to educate secondary school students in Abuja about the significance of taxation in national development.
The programme aims to instill civic responsibility and foster a culture of tax compliance among young Nigerians, empowering them to contribute to the nation’s growth.
As part of the initiative, FIRS organized awareness sessions led by Collins Omokaro, Special Adviser on Communications and Advocacy.

Educational materials like the “Why We Pay Tax” booklet were distributed, helping simplify complex tax concepts and inspire enthusiastic participation among the students.
