Premier International School became a culinary hotspot as it held its much-anticipated cooking competition, themed, “Cook Off.” The event held at the school recently saw enthusiastic participation from primary and secondary school learners, all eager to showcase their cooking skills and creativity in the kitchen.
The competition kicked off at 12 noon in the school’s Lunch Arena, which was beautifully decorated with colourful streamers and cooking-themed decorations. Students formed teams of budding chefs and their enthusiastic helpers, ready to compete in various categories.
Under the watchful eyes of their coaches and student supporters, participants had two hours to prepare their dishes using a wide array of ingredients provided at the venue. The atmosphere was electric, with the sounds of laughter, sizzling pans, and the delightful aroma of various cuisines wafting through the air.
Judges for the event included chefs and nutritionists who sampled each creation based on taste, creativity, presentation, and adherence to healthy cooking practices. Mr. Charles Husseini, the Head of School, Premier International School, expressed his excitement for the event, saying, “Our goal is to encourage students to explore the world of cooking while promoting healthy eating. The ‘Cook Off’ is a fantastic opportunity for them to learn, collaborate, and express themselves through food.”
