Pollution is the introduction of substances or energy into the natural environment in amounts or concentrations that can be harmful for humans, animals, and plants
The accumulation of waste, toxic emission and climate change have severe consequences on the ecosystems, human well-being and the economy.
To combat this menace I propose eco-cycle, a holistic solution that integrates technology, education and community engagement to mitigate pollution.
To tackle pollution holistically, we have to embrace eco-cycle through these interconnected components: waste management systems, eco-education platforms and community-led initiatives.
-Waste management system: A smart waste collection and recycling network can be created whereby wastes are categorised into recyclables, compostables and non-recyclables.
-Eco-friendly education platforms: An interactive platform providing educational resources, workshops and community outreach programmes through radios and television can be initiated to raise awareness about pollution, promote sustainable practices and stewardship.
-Community-led initiatives: A network of community-driven projects encouraging individuals to take ownership of pollution mitigation efforts. This initiative can support local clean-up scents, tree planting initiatives and eco-friendly product development.
By integrating waste management systems, education platforms and community engagement, we can create a cleaner, healthier and sustainable world for the future generation through reduced waste, increased recycling, improved air and water quality.
