Corruption! Corruption!
Man’s daily meal
Finding satisfaction in wickedness
While the poor suffer in pain.
The greedy controlling God-given wealth
Gulping the bucket from our well of wealth
Little by little
Yet, deeper, and deeper
Allowing people to splash in penury
Children with the fate of servitude at birth.
Wealth makes many friends
But the poor are depressed
The heart of the leaders are vexatious
Thinking evil day after day
Our treasury, the victim of their counsel.
Oh, how long!
Shall we chortle in our pains?
When shall we be happy and
Be elated in our days?
When shall our empty trunks enjoy the bounty we deserve?
Many children though having hope to excel
Yet, their dream may soon be undone
By the slashing claws of corruption
But sure, one day we will be free from corruption and Be in our luxury.
And then, shall we truly walk the isle?
With the pride of the offspring of a giant.
Corruption! Corruption!
Man’s deadliest foe!
