Ingredients

3 cups all purpose flour

3 cups granulated sugar

1½ cups of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon baking soda

1½ teaspoon baking powder

1½ teaspoon salt

4 large eggs

1½ cups buttermilk

1½ cups hot water

½ cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon condensed milk flavour or any flavor of your choice any size of cake pans

Instructions:

Pre mixing

It is advisable to have all your ingredients measured out before you start mixing as this helps in ensuring that you do not forget anyone.

To get your buttermilk, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar into 1 cup of milk and allow curdling.

Then, you proceed to preheat your oven and coat your cake pans with butter first and then flour or with a non stick spray.

Mixing:

In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or a spatula, gently combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix properly till it is well combined.

In the same bowl, add the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, flavor, and hot water. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined. It is also necessary to avoid over mixing the batter in order to avoid having a dense cake.

After mixing, pour cake batter into desired cake pans and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes clean.

Remove cake from the pan and let it cool.

You can either enjoy it like that or with any frosting of your choice.
